No problem

Well now we are having lunch at ITDP before heading off to airport and on our way home. Had a great time here in Chang Mai, riding elephants, playing with tigers, a cultural dinner and dance, visiting silk, silver and teak manufacturers, and bartering in the local markets. The complete tourist experience.
A huge thanks to Mike and Becky and ITDP team for really looking after us.
What an amazing experience! Next time you hear from us will be in person - we are all looking forward to getting home.

Extreme 4 Wheel Driving

Back in Chiang Mai

Wow, I think we need to Change the mission to Extreme 4 wheel driving trip with a stop to rest and put in a water system. We left Kraw lor bur at 9am Tuesday, the first 20k took us 6 & a half hours yes that's right the rain over the past 4 days had turned the road into thick stick mud, we got stuck several times and had to all get out and push as well as using the winch. We arrived in Chiang Mai at 9pm that night so in all a 12 hour drive, what a day!!. That aside the project went very well and we were able to get 14 Bathrooms, all the trenching along with 9 tap stations and the water tanks complete, the villagers were amazing and worked so hard.

Rain rain go away…

We have had so much rain over the past 4 days and it has made everything wet & sticky but we have managed to push on and get most things completed.
We will be leaving for Chiangmi a day early due to bad weather and the difficult muddy roads so please pray for a safe trip out tomorrow

Lizard for dinner

The ITDP team cooked us dinner tonight.... A lizard caught earlier in the evening! The more adventurous of us, tried the curry version, skin and claws intact!!!!!! Surprisingly did not taste much different from the crunchy bits on a chicken drumstick (Kyla says there will be no kisses on Kerry's return!!)monsoon rain came back with vengeance last night, absolutely poured, mike awoke to a form of
chinese water torture (maybe a new calling brother?)... Oh well back to the coalmines.....Our love to you all.... Kerry....

Team working hard!

Kiwi's Full on Kiwi Food.....

We worked hard today!
Same same but longer!
Started at 6.00am, worked all day even in the thunder storms.
Had to cook dinner for Everyone!!
Great meal, although we did note that the ITDP staff quietly cooked a pot of rice as a "back up plan"...
With that said everyone enjoyed "Tama's tinfoil takeaways/hangi" (Preparation by Leah) Not to mention the cooked Banana's, Chocolate and Marshmallows!

Kids program went well today, we had some older kids and were able to teach them our memory verse, John 3:16.
Also learnt about Noah's Ark and the rainbow. Great pics to follow...
The tank has two of the five required rings poured, two more tomorrow.
Progress is ahead schedule thanks to a huge effort from the village machine (they are a lot more involved than the last village).
Good feel amongst the team, we are blessed to be here!
